All students at Jewellery Quarter Academy have the opportunity to develop their character around our CORE values. This is an important part of our mission.
Students take part in a range of character-building activities and sessions, led by their form tutor, and receive a termly report from their tutor on their progress towards securely demonstrating the CORE characteristics.
We also have 3 Opportunity Days per year with students following particular themes around our character traits, developing cultural capital, engaging with careers and our historic community.
We held a consultation with parents in relation to Relations, Sex and health Education at the academy in Autumn 2020 to help inform our policy and this can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CM1IFeytvqY&feature=youtu.be
A full outline of a student’s journey and personal development programme can be found below, including our RSHE policy, daily form time sessions and bespoke Personal Development lessons each week on Friday mornings.
